Bio:

 

Dr. Felipe Meza is Director at CAIE, and a professor of Economics at ITAM

 

As Director of CAIE he works on analyzing, and forecasting, the short and medium-term evolution of the Mexican economy

 

Prof. Meza has published in international peer-reviewed academic journals such as the Journal of International Economics, the Review of Economic Dynamics, and Economics Letters

 

In 2009 he was awarded the Kenneth J. Arrow Prize for Junior Economists by the Berkeley Electronic Press

 

He was a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores of Mexico from 2010 to 2016

 

He was awarded the 2nd Place in the Premio Banamex de Economia 2015

 

Since 2020 he is a member of the group of experts of Mexico como vamos?, a think tank in Mexico City

 

Prof. Meza earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from ITAM, and his Ph.D.in Economics from the University of Minnesota.
